Young People's Housing Strategy

The back of one of our young people accommodation, showing a grass area, bike racks and a large residential looking house

Our draft Young People's Housing Strategy sets out how we will aim to give housing support to priority groups of young people in the borough:

  • Care leavers
  • 16/17-year-olds at risk of homelessness
  • Former Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children Care Leavers (UASCs).

We plan to do this following four strategic priorities:

  1. Expanding Housing Options
  2. Developing Clear Housing Pathways
  3. Supporting Tenancy Sustainment (helping young people keep their tenancies)
  4. Reducing Homelessness and Rough Sleeping

We want to hear whether you think we're prioritising the right areas in our updated strategy.

We've summarised some of the highlights below, but to fully take part in the survey we recommend reading the draft strategy document.

This is a summary of some of the ways that we will be working towards our priorities - please see the strategy document for full information.
