Wokingham Voice of Inclusion and Equality (VINE) webinar series

What is VINE?

Wokingham Voice of Inclusion and Equality (VINE) is a partnership focused on promoting inclusion and belonging in the borough, to make sure it works for everyone and all communities.

VINE has been working alongside Wokingham Borough Council to co-produce a new Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Policy.

VINE's webinar series

VINE has launched a webinar series, which kicked off with the first session at on 15 September - coinciding with National Inclusion Week (15 - 21 September).

The webinar offered the chance to discuss the new policy and the key things that will make a difference to our communities. It also included a Q&A on what it means to belong in the borough.

This year’s National Inclusion Week theme is 'Now is the Time' - a reminder of the importance of inclusive action.

This webinar series will take place over the next 12 month, which will explore a range of topics and generate conversation about belonging and inclusion in Wokingham borough.

A Message from Alice Kunjappy-Clifton, Chair of Wokingham VINE:

“Now is the time to move beyond words and into action. This [Equality, Diversity and Inclusion] policy reflects the voices, hopes, and lived experiences of our communities. But it’s only the beginning. Let’s come together to ensure that inclusion is not just a value we speak about—but a reality we all experience. I invite you to join us, share your voice, and help shape a Wokingham where everyone truly belongs.”
