Twyford parking survey
During 2020, we surveyed residents and businesses in Twyford about parking issues on and off road.
Two-thirds of residents responding (66%) reported parking problems in their road, with nearly all (91%) supporting new or improved parking restrictions.
The three top issues named were; commuter parking equalling a quarter of the concerns (24%), followed by inconsiderate parking (17%) and parking too close to junctions (14%).
The next stage was for us to carry out on site surveys, where we looked at how much parking was available, how long people were parking and where. However, these were delayed, as with Covid-19 lockdowns and working from home rules, we would not have got a true picture of what the parking situation around Twyford was like when people were travelling as usual.
We have now been able to complete these surveys and would like your feedback on the proposed changes to on-street parking management. These have been developed in response to specific resident requests and the types of issues raised.
You will see below two downloadable attachments - one is a table of all the roads that formed part of the survey and what we propose to do. The other is a series of maps showing where the proposed changes would be.
The survey will be open for seven weeks, from 31 October to 19 December.
