Future use of St Crispin's Leisure Centre

We are looking for your views on the future of St Crispin's Leisure Centre in Wokingham.

The user numbers at the centre have been declining and this has been getting worse since the opening of Wokingham Leisure Centre at the Carnival Hub last year.

Therefore, we are considering whether the centre should remain open, or if an alternative use should be found for the site.

The findings from this consultation will be used alongside other factors to help us make a decision on the best future use for the site.

Please take the time to complete the survey. If you need to request a paper copy, please contact cem@wokingham.gov.uk.

If you would like to ask questions about this consultation, please come along to one of the drop-in sessions at the centre on:

  • Tuesday 18 July – 12 noon to 1.30pm
  • Tuesday 18 July - 2pm to 3pm (additional session reserved for members of the regular squash league at St Crispin's Leisure Centre)
  • Thursday 20 July – 5.30pm to 7pm
  • Saturday 22 July – 12 noon to 1.30pm
  • Wednesday 26 July – 12 noon to 1.30pm
  • Friday 28 July – 5.30pm to 7pm
  • Sunday 30 July – 12 noon to 1.30pm

We have invested very significantly in sport and leisure facilities in recent years (totalling £52.9million). In addition our sport and leisure service is undertaking a remodelling review that includes consideration of how it could repurpose to become a more active well-being service – not just a focus on leisure centres but a more active well-being service cited in the community.

For more information please see the Wokingham Borough Council executive report on the consultation.

The consultation closes on 4 September.

You're viewing real-time data. Participant counts are continuously updated for administrators. Please note that regular users see cached data, which may result in slight differences in the numbers.
