Help us shape how we engage with children and young people

Reaching out to children and young people in the borough
We want your views to help shape our new Engagement and Consultation Strategy, that aims to ensure everyone's voice is heard when decisions are made that affect their lives.
The survey is for young people in Wokingham borough. We have another survey for general residents.
Our journey so far
To make sure we hear from a wider range of residents, we have reshaped the team to focus more on listening and involving the community.
In doing so, we're setting up a new Community Panel that reflects the borough’s diversity.
We've also asked an independent research company to carry out a borough-wide survey.
The feedback gathered will offer a clearer picture of how residents view us and the borough, helping to guide service development and resource allocation.
These initiatives will complement existing resident-led engagement and collaboration with groups such as Social Care Future, the Youth Council, Voluntary Sector Action Group, Communities Vision Steering Group, and the Tenant and Landlord Improvement Panel.

Phases
Starting work on an engagement strategy
We’re developing a new engagement and consultation strategy to define the opportunities residents and communities have to help shape the decisions that affect them. This strategy will outline why engagement and consultation matter to us, and set out the principles that will guide us.
Take our short survey to tell us how you want us to engage with you on the things that matter to you.
