Help us name the Dinton Pastures willow caterpillar

A new resident has appeared at Dinton Pastures Country Park… but it needs a name.
This living willow caterpillar has been carefully shaped, woven and restored by our Rangers, volunteers and local students — and it now even has its own googly eyes.
Now we’re inviting you to help give it the perfect name.
Submit your suggestion below.
We will review all entries and create a shortlist, before asking you to help choose the winner later this summer.
The winning entry will recieve:
- A family visit to Dinton Pastures
- A photo with the willow caterpillar
- A unique handmade willow tree, grown from the caterpillar cuttings
- A family boat hire session at Dinton Activity Centre (for up to five people, valid until 30 June 2027)
The winner will also have the chance to meet our Rangers and learn more about how the caterpillar is cared for.
Free parking will be provided for the visit to meet the Rangers and see the caterpillar.
