Creating a Tree Strategy for the borough

We've adopted a plans that clearly sets out how trees are cared for, and new ones are planted, in Wokingham borough.

Our Tree Strategy will help us protect the local environment and wildlife as well as the health of everyone who lives, works or studies locally.

Its proposals were shaped by feedback from outside experts and our own officers, as well as your views during consultation. They cover all trees from saplings to older specimens or hedgerows, orchards and woodlands.

They outline how they're managed and maintained, developers’ duties towards planting and how you can help protect trees with historic or community value.

Public consultation on draft Tree Strategy

28 November 2022 - 22 January 2023

We've drawn up a draft Tree Strategy to clearly set out how trees are cared for, and new ones are planted, in Wokingham borough - now we want to hear your thoughts.

You don't have to read the draft strategy to take this survey, but you're welcome to do so if you'd like to answer some more detailed questions on its suggested goals and actions.
