TRO Consultation - Changes to off-street parking across the borough

We are looking to make several changes to off-street parking across the borough. As part of this we are asking for your views.
The key changes include:
- Simplifying the charging periods in our car parks and standardising the cost of overnight parking
- Reducing how long a motorist has to wait before returning to a short stay car park
- Improving parking availability in Wokingham Town Centre by opening Shute End Eastern car park up to the public
- Introducing parking charges at Ashenbury Park as part of long-term plans to make it a country park
These changes are being proposed through an amendment to the traffic regulation order (TRO).
The proposals support the council’s wider priorities by helping to keep the borough moving, supporting local town centres, making better use of public assets and ensuring parking arrangements are managed in a consistent and sustainable way.
