Annual Community Safety Survey 2023

Wokingham Borough is one of the safest places in the country to live, work and visit and we’re proud of that. However, we’re not complacent and we know that crime and disorder does take place in our communities.

We also know that whilst the majority of residents have not been directly affected by crime, you may still have concerns about your personal safety and that of your family and friends. Feelings of safety can have a very negative impact on people and is therefore an important consideration for us.

How safe do you feel in your community?

We want to understand how safe you feel in your communities. That may include views about how well people in the community get on together, about crime and disorder and anti-social behaviour.

The more you tell us about your experiences and concerns the more we can do to help make you feel safe.

We will repeat the survey annually and your feedback will help inform and shape new and emerging priorities and actions.

We have a number of community safety strategies that we will be working on this year including anti-social behaviour and the prevention of violence against woman and girls. Your feedback will help shape these strategies moving forward.
