Wokingham Borough Libraries•4 years ago As part of our Jubilee Celebrations, join our latest Authors Online interview with royal biographer Matthew Dennison on Wednesday 8 June at 7pm to 8pm. Matthew Dennison is the author of nine critically acclaimed works of non-fiction, described in The Independent as 'one of those rare marvels, a historical biographer whose work has reached the bestseller lists'. A features writer for the Telegraph and Country Life, he is a former Costa Prize judge and, previously, Douglas Jerrold Scholar at Christ Church, Oxford.This is a free online session taking place on Microsoft Teams. Come and celebrate HM Queen Elizabeth II’s longstanding connection with Berkshire. This talk recalls local events held for the Queen's coronation, jubilees past and visits to the Royal County. Write a letter to The Queen at Woodley Library

Wokingham Borough Libraries•4 years ago At Woodley Library, young residents are invited to take part in a ‘write a letter to The Queen’ activity where you can write a message or colour in a picture. All contributions will create a wall display in the library. Pop in to Woodley Library today.At our Wokingham Borough libraries, residents can pick up a bunting template.
