Recycle ALL our plastics using the Supermarket collection points

All the local supermarkets now collect plastics to be recycled so there's no excuse for putting it in the general rubbish. Between green bags and food caddys we have reduced our blue bag collection to one a month.

Am i right in thinking that Berkshire is better known for breeding horses and all things related to that rather than food farming for miles around you see nothing but land devoted to horses please correct me if I am wrong

    I am wondering why the co-op is the only store and not every one in the reading area is collecting single use plastics?

      We have begun recycling the plastics which are accepted by the Supermarket collection point.

        Better still, wouldn't it be nice to buy fresh, locally grown, organic food that has NO packaging? We need to support local farms and encourage local farmers to bring fresh food to local markets. (Like they do in most parts of France?).

          @Paul Stevens I 100% agree and I do as much as possible or use paper bags but some items have and always will use plastic so crisp packets sweet wrappers, bread bags, biscuit sleeves, parcel wrapping, bubble wrap at the end of its life, all the plastic wrappers that would normally have been put in the rubbish can now be recycled :)

            @Paul Stevens I fully support the your idea but we will need to buy locally grown produce otherwise it will need to be plastic wrapped to keep it fresh because of the extra distance it has to be transported and all the Supermarkets will need to be got on board and last people need to learn that fruit and vegetables don’t always grow in a perfect shape
