In my early 20s, some 40 years ago, I used to run up and down the Windsor Long Walk on a Sunday morning. Sometimes the Queen would drive herself back down the Long Walk to the Castle from church, unaccompanied. I would wave to her and she always had a smile and waved back. Happy days 🥰
