Helping to reduce plastic in our community

I have spoken to several people in my community over coffee. Everyone has come up with a plan to reduce single-use plastic in our businesses and for our resident.

One business has already teamed up with Surfers Against Sewage to clean up the river and signed up to Final Straw. They are now engaging with other businesses in the village.

A few individual residents are looking at further possibilities for Terracycle in addition to Sheeplands Far, working with Twyford Rethinks its Plastic.

And I am focussing on making St Mary's Church Wargrave and am willing to tell our story to other local churches.

We are encouraging people to shop at zero waste outlets such as the Refill Hub and would like to the Council encourage many more.
